Prabhas Takes Pay Cut for ‘The Raja Saab’; Teaser Out Soon

Actor Prabhas, among the highest-earning stars in Indian cinema, is returning to the big screen with the horror-comedy film The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi. The upcoming project is garnering attention not only for its genre and cast but also for Prabhas’ revised remuneration.
Industry insiders confirm that Prabhas, typically commanding around Rs 150 crore per film, has accepted a reduced fee of Rs 100 crore for The Raja Saab. This Rs 50 crore cut reportedly follows the underwhelming performance of his last film Adipurush, which struggled both critically and commercially.
The film is being bankrolled by People Media Factory, the same production house behind Adipurush. The decision to lower the actor’s salary is believed to support the producers and align with a more sustainable budget model post the previous film’s outcome.
The Raja Saab brings together a mix of horror and comedy, with a romantic storyline, and features Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhi Kumar alongside Prabhas. TG Vishwa Prasad is producing the film under the People Media Factory banner.
Adding to the anticipation, the film’s teaser is scheduled for release on June 16 at 10:52 PM. The theatrical release is locked in for December 5, 2025.
